Is Gnome still painfully slow/laggy? I switched to KDE about 5 years ago and never looked back.
- esarbe 5y agoGnome is awesome. Gnome 40 brought some nice performance improvements. Using it on a six years old netbook with 4 GB of RAM and i3.
- juniperplant 5y agoApparently it depends on the hardware. And by that I don't mean whether you have a powerful CPU/GPU combination. If you're lucky, it's smooth as butter. Personally I'm in the unlucky group (i3-6100U + HD 520).
