Ask HN: What is a good Python project for a mid lv engineer to contribute to?
Have some off time looking to fill. Please recommend.
Thank you
- cpach 5y agoMaybe Django or Certbot?
- giantg2 5y agoMaybe just browse the npm packages that are popular. Find one you like and has open issues in Github.
- jamestimmins 5y agoCome help out with Apache Airflow! It's a great project to get involved with because it has a ton of users and real world problems, but it's still early enough that there's low hanging fruit in terms of adding functionality and improving existing code. A helpful place to start is the provider packages, since Airflow has integrations with so many 3rd party providers, and if you have knowledge in any of them it can be a good jumping off point. https://github.com/apache/airflow/ https://github.com/apache/airflow/
- saltedonion 5y agoAs a user of airflow I certainly wouldn’t mind. Also ran into quite a few bugs while using it. Thanks for your work! Amazing project.
- jamestimmins 5y agoIt’s definitely got its rougher edges. When you come across bugs, even if you’re not in a place to submit a fix, it’s super helpful if you submit an issue with steps to reproduce or comment on an existing issue with your experience.
