This is fantastic! Client/server architecture is easier than peer to peer at small scales. Huge internet companies are moving back distributed architectures, albeit distributed in the cloud only. But the kinds of problems you run into with these distributed server architectures are similar to the kinds of problems you run into with peer to peer architectures.
The funny thing about all of this is everyone has a tendency to build for a larger scale than they need, which means they take on more complexity than they need, which means that if they made their apps peer to peer native they might scale more easily for free.
Another thought: distributed storage is a solved problem thanks to encryption, but distributed compute is not a solved problem because homomorphic encryption is so limiting. There are two ways compute can be made more friendly for distribution: make homomorphic encryption viable (extremely hard) or make it really easy to plug compute that you control into the network and the new compute starts computing in your network with minimal configuration. I think the latter solution is best for the near future. And this type of product is what we need to implement the latter solution.
