  Yup! It shadowbans some domains too. If you're unlucky enough to write blog posts on the shadowbanned domains you won't be notified in any way at all and your submissions will still appear in the listings while you're logged in. Very frustrating.

        Looking at the site it’s not surprising that they’ve banned it but yeah you’re right. It’s completely hidden.

          Meh, I mean I think there is lots of trash content on Medium and such and we don't ban those.

  I don't think Dang et al. use it except in cases where the person is being flagrantly abusive and unreasonable.

  Do shadow bans show up as dead comments? I have noticed comments from new (green) users sometimes immediately show up as dead, is that related?
