People have attempted building QtWebEngine, yes, but it still has a surprising amount of OS-specific code within it. I think it may have gotten so far as displaying webpages but then crashed incessantly. Plus, I'm not sure what browser shells that use QtWebEngine are still actively developed; Falkon looks to be dead...
