This is gonna sound wacky, but I recently had an idea for a site/mobile app that only did that. Let people report bad/unsafe driving with a license plate & picture.
The humanitarian in me would hope it would guilt people into being better drivers.
The greedy part of me would try and sell the data to the DMV or insurance companies.
- trusko 15y agoI fully understand you. The problem is that I, for example, drive typically alone (to work and back) and would be in the same category as those irresponsible drivers. It would be nice if one could somehow let those drivers know that there is a complaint. Maybe if more people participated in this and there would be critical mass of complaints someone like DMV would probably use the information. The idea behind my website is to help people get a rid of daily frustrations that can be dealt with. Simple stuff, noisy neighbour, guy in the office that makes annoying noises etc. How else are you going to tell them.
- amccloud 15y agoSorta like http://www.driver-ratings.com/ http://www.driver-ratings.com/ ? I believe they are also selling the data to insurance companies.
- trusko 15y agoI could consider writing mobile app where you would be able to attach the picture and complain. I want to keep my app generic. I am not really looking for how to monetize the app. Well, I mean it woud be nice to see that happening, but so far it's just for fun.
