There's also a meta-level. I stand for what I think is right. But I also believe that the rules of the game are important, beyond what I think is right. I may be mistaken occasionally (hard to believe, but it happens), or I just believe that a functional society is based on more than just being right. Either way, I will support ground rules for open debate even if they momentarily hurt my argument or my tribe.
