DAL raising insurance premiums for unvaccinated employees by $200/month
- ortusdux 5y agoI've been wondering when this would happen. So much of the anti-vax & anti-mask rhetoric is centered around personal freedom. I want to see how those beliefs square with companies freedom to fire, refuse to hire, and now tax unvaccinated employees.
- peteradio 5y agoReplace "unvaccinated" with not sufficiently immune and it might make sense. Some people were immune from earlier exposure before the vaccines were even available. No studies have been done to assess proper risk benefit for these people and there are simple blood tests to indicate immunity above an appropriately chosen threshold. Or, if you aren't willing the change that language, then I would plead for an explanation. The problem with these stories is that I never seem to see any obvious medical exemption mentioned. Is it there but just not mentioned for brevity? Unfortunately recent news indicates you have to sue to receive a medical exemption which is probably unduly restrictive for 99% of the population. So what does 99% do when there livelihoods are on the line? They line up and get the shot they were most definitely coerced into getting. Coerced because they are not given the appropriate information assess risk benefit at the personal level.
