"Profit" is fundamentally opposed to "purpose". Capitalism relies on private property and profits by engineering consent/desire for goods. Any sane system that respects the environment and the people would instead start from needs/desire and elaborate consistent solutions to address them. Or, formulated another way, one's private profit is always someone else's loss/exploitation.
