Isn't that highly reductionist? People derive pleasure from immersion and mastery of all sorts of things. I'd argue that food can make you feel just as much, and probably a lot more emotion than typical art does.
- KozmoNau7 5y agoSure, and that's why I try to get at by expressing my admiration for people who dedicate themselves to a craft. But just because you've mastered making a Neapolitan pizza exactly to the specifications and definitions, does not necessarily mean you've succeeded in creating a good pizza. My point is that some people get so bogged down in minutiae and details, that they completely forget that the entire point was to make something delicious for people to enjoy.
