Vanillajs for the frontend,
crystal for the backend,
postgres for the db,
fly.io for the app hosting,
Cloudinary for the CDN,
trello and Github issues for management.
IMO, simple vanillajs blows any other js framework out of the water in simplicity. Crystal is an amazing and very performant language for the backend. If you love ruby, you would love Crystal.
- strzibny 5y agoLove to see Crystal in the thread!
- BilalBudhani 5y agoWhat Crystal framework are you using? Coming from Ruby I gave serious try to Crystal a few months back but couldn't move forward because of the current state of Crystal ecosystem. I do hope it improves.
- rishav_sharan 5y agoNone. I use the stdlib. Crystal stdlib is pretty good and just like in golang, you can create well written apps without having to use any framework. Though if you do need a framework, Lucky and Athena right now are probably the best frameworks to use.
