For the users who insist on a Mac we only give out Intel ones at work now because of how many issues we've had with the M1 models - quite a few have bricked themselves not allowing for the disk to be wiped or the OS to be installed which require plugging into another Mac and "reviving" it by putting it into DFU mode to fix. Apple Support are, as usual, completely useless and tell us to take the computer to a store - we only found this out by reading a random blog post somebody did.
