It sounds like it is too easy in India to declare someone dead.
- sumedh 5y agoYou just have to bribe someone in the govt and get the death certificate.
- vishnugupta 5y agoYou just need a piece of paper from a crematorium saying they buried such and such a person. Crematorium workers don’t earn much so if you bribe them sufficiently you will get it. You use it to apply for death certificate. And that’s about it. First hand experience. I think aadhaar card copy is needed but it’s not difficult to obtain especially if you know the person.
