- ThrowawayR2 5y agoThe animation of how a relay works in episode 2 made me wince. https://youtu.be/LN0ucKNX0hc?t=95 https://youtu.be/LN0ucKNX0hc?t=95 Why is one terminal of the coil connected to the output? Nevertheless, I am rather impressed by the early episodes that I've skimmed so far, which actually manage to present a credible high-level overview of digital logic and even microprocessor architecture. Hats off to the authors.
- diplodocusaur 5y agoOh right. I didn't catch that. I can imagine how one may confuse the two 'coils' in such an illustration https://youtu.be/n594CkrP6xE?t=292 https://youtu.be/n594CkrP6xE?t=292. There was also a misspelling of Doug's last name as 'EngelbErt'. My guess is the animators and illustrators aren't as technically inclined as the content directors but I could be wrong. Regardless, I thought the narrative was very well thought out.
- diplodocusaur 5y agothe ending is also very thought-provoking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TNAz1HYg18&list=PLH2l6uzC4UEW0s7-KewFLBC1D0l6XRfye&index=41 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TNAz1HYg18&list=PLH2l6uzC4U...
- gabrielsroka 5y agoFrom 2017. I watched the episodes when they came out. I think the content is great, but I didn't like how they talk really really fast and edit out all the spaces and cuts. It's too much volume for my brain to handle. I know some people like it, but it's but for me. Same with CS50. I guess I could watch it at a slower speed, but I don't think my Chromecast supported it.
