‘An enormously valuable trove’: America’s race against Afghan data
- cduzz 5y agoAs William Gibson once said "the future is already here, just not very evenly distributed." We should be terrified both for what is happening in Afghanistan and what it implies everywhere else. When is it better to intentionally send yourself back to the early industrial revolution and when is it better to protect the data you're entrusted to protect? Hopefully I never find myself asking that question seriously.
