This is the big one. I live in a major metropolitan area in a swing state, and my jaw drops whenever I see how low the costs for property, rent, housework, materials, and gasoline are in traditionally red states.
- mrtranscendence 5y agoYeah, I'd pay $1M for the same house in suburban SF that I paid $250K for in suburban Cincinnati. Even if I worked for a FAANG company my salary wouldn't go up four times. Were I to decide to move to a very blue area my standard of living could drop noticeably.
