Generally I prefer to keep both separated, either with two devices or two different OS users. I certainly wouldn't want to keep both on the same profile/device (especially since I have to deal with two profiles for the browser, password manager etc... anyway). But when I need to make a quick exception to this (private project on my work device or work project on my private device), I'm just using the `.git/config` of the repository. It's far easier and reliable.
