The chance of death for children under 12 from all sorts of things is "NOT ZERO" ... drowning, for instance, kills many more children than Covid and we don't make them wear lifejackets everywhere or even when they're near large bodies of water. Many of them have had their swimming lessons canceled to "keep them safe" from Covid though!
> every infection provides another opportunity for mutation and contagion
The virus is endemic, it is going to mutate and continue spreading in the population regardless of how many people receive the vaccines. This idea we're going to reach Zero Covid through any means other than natural immunity for a virus with animal reservoirs, a large unvaccinated population in the developing world, and non-sterilizing vaccines, has no scientific basis or precedent.
