Sure, some will just move their goalposts, but I personally know at least one person who initially voiced skepticism about the vaccine, and sort of locked himself into a position where he can't get it now without looking like he's "submitting to the man" or whatever. We have all known people who will double down on their arguments after being proven wrong because they've gone too far. This could give them an out.
