There are actually a lot of good and decent people there, including children. People that have hopes and dreams for a better life. People who, if given the chance, would love nothing more than to raise their children in a peaceful country with all of the things you take for granted in your industrialized country. That isn't a naive and stupid question, it's a heartless and insensitive one. Just because they can't make you an iPhone doesn't mean they should be left for dead.
