After getting really annoyed with some unpleasant thumbnails that just kept showing up, I came up with the following ublock origin rule: www.youtube.com##div.ytd-rich-item-renderer:has(ytd-channel-name a[href="/c/<channel-name>"]) to exclude things from the recommendations lists. Not sure how well it'll scale if I had a large number to exclude though.
