Might as well just go full on psychopath and make homelessness a crime, already number one in prisoners per capita, with the highest prison population in the world, what's a few more hundred thousand people behind bars.
That way we don't have to look at the poop and dirty needles, and "feel safe".
- clemailacct1 5y agoAs someone who lives and has to deal with the homeless situation in my neighborhood frequently - there has to be a better option than allowing rampant homeless camps infest every single park of ours. The piles of used needles, trash, feces, rats and being verbally/physically harassed by them while paying a very high cost of living and taxes is a horrible experience. As someone born and raised in Seattle - I’m leaving here.
- wonder_er 5y agoIt would be cheaper for the city to just build small, basic, sturdy, safe facilities, available to the homeless for free. It would be vastly cheaper to do this than what is currently being done, and would immediately improve the situation for everyone.
