I tend to reject take home projects out of hand because they take up my time but not the company’s, unlike a phone interview. I need to know the company is serious and values my time.
- learc83 5y agoWe do take home projects instead of whiteboard challenges. Grading the take home takes me longer than doing a whiteboard interview.
- dudul 5y agoOnce you submit your take home what do you think happens? We do it at my current company and I usually spend around 45minutes to review a take home and submit (what I think is) useful feedback. And I have to do a few a week. Definitely takes some of the company's time. What method do you prefer over a take-home?
