Patching the bios on sandy/ivy thinkpads messes up TPM provisioning though. Luckily, you can install coreboot which will have working TPM.

- cmxch 5y agoThe most recent release (version 5) of 1vyrain fixes that for Ivy Bridge.
- bubblethink 5y agoI'm pretty sure it doesn't. I had tried it. It probably works for Windows, but not for Linux. You can't get to the provisioning screen in the BIOS. I think already provisioned tpm continues to work.
