The Mysterious Figure Stealing Books Before Their Release
- hilbert42 5y agoWhat a great read! It's now 20 hours on since this story was listed and I'm surprised that I'm the first to comment. Perhaps the reason is that it's a reasonably long read and its title is seemingly a bit 'off topic' - but don't be fooled, there's lots of security and IT stuff (in a non-technical supporting role) and that's just the beginning - it's also a darn good yarn with more to come. Not only is the article extremely well written but also it holds an element of suspense throughout that will ensure you'll read to the end (not surprisingly as it's written by book-publishing world insider). If you're like me and know little about the inner Byzantine-like workings of book publishing then you'll find this story both entertaining and an excellent primer. Reckon it'll be a movie next (that'll only make sense after you read it).
