- scottydelta 5y agoGig companies' coalition spent over $200 millions to manipulate public into voting Prop 22 into a law against their own-self interest.
- France_is_bacon 5y agoThe thing that I personally have against the gig worker law is that if I, myself, want to be an independent contractor, I am not allowed to be one. Other people are upset about it as well. Fluck everything about that. Why can't I just sign a document that I WANT to be self-employed, that I am a full-grown adult and can make my own decisions? I think that the reason that the state mandates me, and other small business owners, is because instead of having to tax 500,000 individual business owners, the state government only has to collect my taxes from only one company, so it makes it easier for the state.
