no one brings up the lack of friction as a feature for small personal projects either. I have made some things that are just for me and took a few min to code up but are a quality of life thing and spark joy when you use it. You don't feel bad for not remembering how to run some command that you should know or just get that "It Just Works®" satisfaction. There's also the ikea effect of building something for just yourself but that's just a bonus if you aren't on a team.
