I'm of the opinion that until I retire, I do not have the "extra money" to do anything for my job out of my own pocket. They can pay me for their requirements if they go against my better judgement. My current job does not require that I put anything on my phone, though I've chosen to check my work email there. I could take it off at any time, though, without repercussions. They've treated me well, there's nothing in my contract about their data on my devices, and I like to keep up with what's going on. If any of that changed, I'd remove it from my phone.
