This is happening on my team, with a stark difference being that we are all paid dizzying tech salaries. Money only motivates people to an extent.
- echelon 5y agoMuch of tech pays well enough that you can quit and live comfortably for awhile. Given the stressful pandemic, it's no wonder that many would rather take some extended time off. Or start new ventures. The assumption is that there will always be demand for these jobs, so there's little risk in leaving.
