On the other hand, I once had the opportunity to work in a small team like that, everyone else was senior with 10+ years of experience. It was probably the best experience of my career, incredibly humbling but I learned so much, we did in 6 months what I would have though only possible in one or two years. My guess is that it can go either way and a significant part of it is having the right environment, the right management, probably some luck too.
