- chrisco255 5y agoNot only has Greenland had a very short melt season this summer, but the surface mass balance of ice/snow is WELL ABOVE 1981-2010 median: http://polarportal.dk/en/greenland/surface-conditions/ http://polarportal.dk/en/greenland/surface-conditions/ (hit the Acc. tab for accumulation totals) Alarming headlines like this with no context do no good for anyone.
