The roosters here start at between 3 and 4am and have episodes of crowing through till 6-7pm, I detest these creatures. Best I can tell it's a method of communicating/monitoring out of line of sight or in foliage since they seem to wait for the response before going again, get 2 in reasonable proximity and the cacophony is enough to make zoom calls untenable. I'm only slightly joking when I say I'm considering starting eating chicken again to cause maximum suffering to their species.
