South Africa issues a patent that names an AI system as the inventor

Instead of sweeping away a badly-broken patent system (or rather, dozens of different systems), let's add a layer to the existing mess to allow the output of a computer program to be submitted as a patent application. For bonus points, let's launch this in a jurisdiction where there is no examination infrastructure - where if an application is formally valid, then it is automatically granted. While we're at it, we'd better make sure that the patent number is a 64-bit integer. There'll soon be more live patents than atoms in the universe.
