The "not much hanging out, just focus time" is precisely the part I think is dystopian and personifies a sad future. The whole idea could be an episode of Blackmirror tbh. I'm not arguing against some finding it useful, I'm sure some (like yourself) do, I don't know how sustainable that is though, or what it means about our society as we move forward, but in my opinion it's ominous.
