What if this is four-dimensional chess by Apple: maybe they deliberately announced this back door, just to prove how politically poor the backdoor topic is with the public? Maybe Congress will think twice about trying to force this via legislation on anyone.
(This comment is intended as a joke.)
- vegetablepotpie 5y agoHow could you say that? You have to apply Occam’s razor here, which would say that Apple comically misstepped and nothing more.
- EGreg 5y agoWhy would you assume companies are more likely to be unable to think two steps ahead?
- vegetablepotpie 5y agoBecause companies are lead by people and people make mistakes.
- EGreg 5y agoMaking mistakes is one thing Thinking two steps ahead can be done even when you make mistakes
- istingray 5y agoheheh possible! After pages and pages of "I'm confused why people are outraged about this" trolls....I could use a joke like this :)
