Even when a big story breaks, there's rarely more than 3 or 4 links that pop to the front page throughout the day. They're from different sources, sometimes they provide different insights. Other times they don't, and they just go away. If 4/30 links on the frontpage are about the same story, it's really not that big of a deal.
