Defending Taiwan means risking WWIII and the average American couldn't even point it out on a map and doesn't understand why it's important at all hell, the pandemic showed our supply chain is so jacked up that we couldn't even handle a minor disruption of goods from China. How would the civilian population that is already a tinderbox due to politics and the pandemic going to react to shortages and price increases? this isn't the 30s or 40s, the US isn't capable of fighting an all out war anymore
