My MasterCard even has the raised numbers, and an unfilled spot for my signature. I remember a long time ago, some places still used a manual contraption to impress the digits on carbon copy paper. I wonder why they've retained that unused ability for decades. Not that it matters much. I've made payments with almost 100% Apple Pay for years — a lot of the time I don't even carry the physical card with me.
