Isn't this easily the most popular news about Airbnb this year? I am surprised that they kept their mouth shut in all their public channels. No mention in the blog, no direct message in twitter. And it looks they chose to talk about this issue in TC only because TC wrote about the original story. This is what they replied to people in twitter: @joyandjoy EJ's blog post says, "They have offered to help me recover emotionally and financially, and are working with SFPD" Yeah right. Now EJ's blog post says that they did not keep their promise. This is what happens when you hesitate to help the victim of an incident like this and instead start plotting and planning PR activities supposed to do the damage control for your next valuation. What a shame.
