- vishnu351 5y agocannot do this or offer this feature to users without an Extension. or is there is a way? as far as i know there is no other WAY
- verdverm 5y agoThe point is that I can go to a website to run the same speed test, and if that is the case, then the extension is not needed. This extension is simply a link masquerading as a button and that is a violation of the terms. It does not add a feature to chrome, it adds a link to a website. As alternative, I could easily bookmark this page and put it in the bookmark bar. Ranting and becoming emotional does not help your case
- vishnu351 5y agoThen what is ookla Extension Doing there?? You can run a speed test using ookla website. Then why you need an Extension??
- vishnu351 5y agoWith Service Worker and iFrame we can offer same or better User Experience. Saying NO to an iFrame App is unfair. Actually i think they should reconsider the risk of iFrame in a 450/700 or 320/450 pixel can do for it's users.
- vishnu351 5y agoFor user's it doesn't matter how we do the stuff under the hood. You can run a quick speed test on top of any websites you are currently visiting by just one click of a button. (It's running in a popup window) How can you offer this feature to users without an Extension. or is there is a way? as far as i know there is no other WAY.
