I love the look and idea of this - are alternative clients against the Spotify ToS though?
Would be such a shame to put in all this work only for Spotify to kill it.
- Vespasian 5y agoIt uses private APIs to retrieve the decryption keys from the server and circumvent the DRM. It's certainly against the ToS and probably illegal in some jurisdictions
- conradev 5y agoUsually the way it works is that _using_ the software is illegal, but distributing its source code is not. Code is covered by the first amendment in the US.
