This looks horrible to me. The mixing of bash commands in Javascript looks absolutely terrible and running node itself for scripting is a total mess(node_modules, versions). I usually go with bash + set -euxo pipefail and if it becomes too complicated I switch to Python. GoLang/Rust are the perfect tool when distributing tools as a single binare. Where in the world does JS fit in?
