How does that relate to Apple’s situation?

  For the past decade at least, Apple has been saving money while the US Government has been borrowing money to spend on executive bonuses. That Apple has more cash on hand now should not be extraordinarily surprising.

    To be fair, "executive bonuses" in the government means a 200k salary, whereas it means 20x that much in industry.

      I guess that wasn't clear, I meant literal executive bonuses. Whether or not you can treat tax cuts as spending is debatable, but either way it was a revenue stream they threw down the toilet.
