That helps fight deflation. Yet it is almost entirely used by politicians to rob the middle class to give to the poor who then will vote for the robbers because they can now buy more shit on Amazon making Jeff Bezos even richer. Well that and so we can force the middle class to fund whatever war we currently need to fight. (We must always be at war, or else we might become unruly as we think for ourselves). The US dollar is becoming a poorer and poorer indicator of value. I feel bad for those who own no assets right now. Your wage will not be rising as fast as prices and tangible assets will become more and more out of reach.
