Urns – Ultimate Reduction to Nature Towers
Build towers that will reduce anything dropped into it to atoms.
Sort the atoms into piles.
Nuclear energy gives us lots of power. Heat everything to a vapor / ion cloud.
This reduces every animal, vegetable, mineral, solid, liquid, and gas to atoms.
Tesla could reduce used batteries to lithium, nickel, etc.
It could recycle any and all plastic.
It could convert CO2 to carbon and oxygen atoms.
It would be the ultimate source of pure raw materials.
No more trash dumps.
- rman666 5y agoWould you see these towers dropping into the earth, all above ground? I guess it doesn’t really matter. Haha, that’s a pun, or whatever. What are the physics/math of this idea?
- daly 5y agoAt sufficiently high temperatures you overcome all molecular binding energies. The result would be free atoms. Spinning the resulting plasma would separate the atoms by atomic mass. This is basically a high-temp version of a cracking tower used in the oil industry. The difference is that the temperature is high enough to "crack" anything.
