Like, of course this war has been about profiting arms companies etc. all along - did people think otherwise?
- pydry 5y agoIn 2002 they did. The war had, like 90% support among the public. I can still remember Jon Stewart saying "hey, afghanistan was good. we should have another one of those." A year or two later. That was the peacenik end of the political spectrum.
- vehementi 5y agoIt was obvious at the time (from outside the US)... I guess the propaganda was strong. I remember everyone I talked to seeing it was bullshit.
