Biden braces for brutal defeat in Afghanistan
- anshumankmr 5y agoThis is going to be one of the most defining tragedies of this decade, apart from COVID-19.
- rvz 5y agoWell somebody did a deal first with the Taliban and then withdrew the US troops out of Afghanistan?
- anshumankmr 5y agoOf course, this has been happening slowly over five to six years. I do not deny that. But irrespective of who you support, it is still a tragedy.
- mandmandam 5y ago> Can we use this moment when people are asking "What did 20 years of war accomplish?" to demand major cuts in the Pentagon budget? Can we use this moment to hold ANYONE accountable for 20 years of horrific failure? Maybe we could start with the heads of "military intelligence" who couldn't even predict that the Afghan army would crumble? Let's come up with demands that might have a chance of success. Now is the time. What do you suggest? - Medea Benjamin
