Covid is really a sad situation for the whole world. The disease itself, so many dead and so many people (including myself) missing our loved ones who are gone.

Covid is really a sad situation for the whole world. The disease itself, so many dead and so many people (including myself) missing our loved ones who are gone. And the state of the world as a result, the anxiety, fear, the loss of liberties, the loss of economic potential, the depression and isolation and distrust of other people, all of it, the world is a worse place as a result of covid. I think the article is right, much as I wish it weren't. We have lost the war against the illness, it was not eradicated in time and it cannot be eradicated now. But we don't have to lose everything, we just have to accept that covid is here to stay. It's not the fight against the virus anymore, it is the fight against ourselves that is our refusal to acknowledge our failure. We lost, it is here to stay. But it was one hell of a fight for sure, the world can look at this and say that we united, however inefficiently and haphazardly, and sacrificed greatly, only that we were not victorious. That to me is very beautiful, and if we can accept our failure with grace and genuine acknowledgement of the truth we are faced with, even more so.
