Is there a way to tell the kernel to memmove large chunks of page-aligned memory by just changing the page table?

  `mremap` with `MREMAP_FIXED`, but this consumes the original mapping. If you want to actually copy, this isn't possible without destroying the source (because modifications to the destination would be reflected in the source otherwise).

    Many operating systems will provide copy-on-write pages as an option, but of course this just refers when the copy will occur.

    In order to implement a vector that can grow, copy shouldn't be necessary.
