Makes me miss the days of phpBB.

- code_duck 5y agoSort of. Back then we’d end up with one forum for a topic run as an independent website/fiefdom. This is one thing if it’s about your hobby but another if it’s about your profession. Imagine if posting on HN was important to your career and pg and dang decided you were a threat to them personally. This same thing can happen now with groups on the corporate platforms, but it was worse when individuals ran the entire sites.
